The Lair of the White Worm
AroView: This campy masterwork from cult director Ken Russell cooks up many estranged ideas from his previous films as an outlandish horror spoof.
As hilarious as it is provocative, with a perfectly sultry performance from Amanda Donohoe and the very fresh faces of Hugh Grant and Peter Capaldi, it plays like a Hammer horror film written by Enid Blyton, and is one of the best black comedies of the 80’s.
