With NEW AroVision Gift-a-Movie, you can now Recommend, and then send (to a friend)!
This unique feature means you can gift a rental movie on AroVision to anyone in New Zealand with an e-mail address.
Costing the same as renting the movie, you simply click on the ‘Gift’ icon on any film’s page to deliver a pre-paid movie rental.
You have the option to directly e-mail to a friend or send later as a ‘share link’ that delivers to your own e-mail address.
And you can add a message like a salutation, or even a reason why you loved the film. Much better than a routine ‘Happy Birthday’ message, right?
Your chosen recipient will ‘unwrap’ the gift by clicking on the link, which will direct them to AroVision where the film will be ready to watch either in an existing or newly-opened account.
Recipients don’t need to sign in using the email address that received the gift, and therefore it can be re-gifted to someone else.
Just like regular rentals, gifted movies are valid for 30 days from the time they are unwrapped, or 48 hours from the time they commence play.
Note that currently only one gift can be purchased at a time, and promo codes cannot currently be used with gifts.
Gifting a movie is an excellent way to give extra support to our quality service and endangered physical video store.
P.S.: If you’ve already rented the film you wish to gift, then the purchase/rent button won’t appear, however you can still gift the title by clicking on the gift icon on the film detail page.!
