The Climb
AroView: In spite of the title and the poster image, this is not a cycling movie but a bruising bro-mantic comedy about the friendship of two pals over several years after one confesses he’s been having an affair with the other’s fiancée.
Actor pals Michael Angelo Corvino and Kyle Marvin expand on their short film of the same name, fully inhabiting their own script about their fictionalised friendship that spans seven chapters and several years. And Gayle Rankin proves a force of nature as a rekindled old-flame who suffers no fools.
“Gets precisely the balance of dependency and denial that keeps a bad bromance afloat.” ~Variety
