Love Serenade
AroView: Two sisters fall for a middle-aged, schmoozing radio-jock in this perfectly measured Australian comedy set in a tinpot outback town.
It avoids the camp pratfalling of the likes of “Muriel’s Wedding” and “Priscilla: Queen of the Desert”, and yet is accessible enough to enrapture any audience. An impressively sure-footed debut, and Barry White on the soundtrack never sounded so good…
