Only the Animals
AroView: A superb psychological thriller set in rural France that uncovers a twisted web of deceit concerning five people who are all linked to the disappearance of a woman during a snowstorm. It boasts a Coen Brothers-esque tone with intriguing characterizations and a keep-you-guessing interlocking plot, adapted from Colin Niel’s 2017 novel Seules les bêtes.
“A highly satisfying and gripping thriller that, like the best of them, finds the time to properly contemplate the depths of its dominoes as they are arranged before the capricious hand of chance gleefully knocks them down, one by one.” ~Cinevue
