AroView: Marlon Brando is an outlaw battling a sheriff in this epic psychological Western played out against a brooding landscape. Bursts of violence punctuate the moody silences in Brando’s sole directing credit, one he stepped into when Stanley Kubrick dropped out just prior to shooting.
This restored version was presented at the NZIFF 2016.
