AroView: The feature length debut of director Alejandro Amenabar (The Others, The Sea Inside) is an intelligent chiller about a film student who, while researching audiovisual violence, is drawn into a violent mystery when her professor dies after watching what may be an authentic snuff movie.

It sets up a self-reflexive hall of mirrors and scores many acute points about the audience reception to cinematic violence along the way. Though perhaps not as genuinely scary as others of its ilk its considerably more rewarding.
