The Blond Boy from the Casbah
A drama set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, following the 15-year-old protagonist Antoine and his memories of growing up in a diverse, multicultural neighborhood during the Algerian War.
“Both lucid and melancholic, this pilgrimage revives mixed but always strong feelings, which make for a moving film. Even if the reconstruction is wise, a little too retro, the importance of this past is transmitted to us with a beating heart.” ~Frédéric Strauss, Télérama
