AroView: Named after her iconic 2000 album, this rock-doc portrait of fearsome feminist alt-pop artist Merrill Nisker – better known as Peaches – brilliantly intercuts footage of two concerts twenty years apart, performances that double-down on her firebrand manifesto to be bold, honest, shameless and fun. There’s also plenty of her artist development before the breakthrough, which include renegade exploits with roommate and fellow Canadian music icon, Lesley Feist.
“This invigoratingly punk documentary illustrates what it means to stay fresh and authentic in a field that continually rewards mediocrity.” ~Pat Mullen, POV Magazine
