AroView: A captivating hybrid of “tourist romance” and “body horror” (yes, Linklater meets Cronenberg) in which a recently orphaned young man flees the US for Italy, where he sparks up a romance with a woman harbouring a dark, primordial secret.

Sparing use of special effects and naturalistic dialogue combine effectively - this invests in the relationship of the two engaging leads - and while the film is redolent of many others, its patient, unusual structure binds a spell all of its own.
