AroView: Ethan Hawke plays a crime writer who moves into the house of a grisly crime scene and stumbles upon a cache of 8mm snuff footage in the attic, proceeding to dig deeper despite his curiosity having grave consequences for his family.

A satisfyingly creepy and eventful horror movie that doubles as a page-turning murder mystery, this delivers both frights and intrigue in equal measure and qualifies as one of the best of its genre so far this decade.
