AroView: A group of computer engineers tinkering with technology in their garage (hoping to escape their dayjobs), reach a turning-point when two of them invent a ‘device’ with strange properties.

It soon becomes apparent that the mysterious ‘box’ enables a limited form of backwards time-travel, which is secretly used for various advantageous schemes. By the film’s final act, the time-looping paradoxes and stories-within-stories that eventuate become a little confusing, though will surely stimulate much post-viewing discussion. Shot for only US$7000 by its novice writer-director, this is an accomplished effort in minimalistic, high-concept filmmaking, even the focus lapses and half-audible dialogue contribute to the dreamlike tone.

Those who expect full comprehension after the final reel should beware though, this is a classic mind-boggler.
