AroView: Warm and intelligent appreciation of several of the soul-music legends of the 1960s and 70s by a veteran documentary team.
Based around a series of presentday concerts by singers like Rufus and Carla Thomas, Isaac Hayes, Mary Wilson, Sam Moore and Wilson Pickett, this brings personal history up to date with a disarming, humourous and, in some cases, quite moving honesty (Moore recounting his experiences are alone reason enough to see this movie). Also features, as you’d expect, plenty of great music.
