Nine Days

AroView: An existential sci-fi drama that imagines human lives being monitored and recorded on old VHS tapes by an enigmatic bureaucrat (Winston Duke). Our-lives-as-movies and our performance within them is at the heart of an extremely intriguing premise where a number of diverse souls vie to prove themselves worthy of what may be another chance of life on earth. It’s a rewarding, meditative American indie made by a Japanese-Brazilian film-maker who invites us to peer at the world through his beguilingly unfamiliar lens.
