Next Stop Wonderland
AroView: Hope Davis (DAYTRIPPERS) utterly captivates as a jilted blonde indisposed to the dating scene, who finds little sign of Mr. Right in the long queue of on-comers. Finding an original voice in a stale genre, this low-budget Sundance-winner from the late 90’s explores the paradox of being at once desirable and lonely, while as romantic comedy it’s as cool and tantalizing as the bossa nova grooves on the soundtrack.
