My Life So Far

Comedy, Drama 1h 38m 1999

AroView: Set on a Scottish estate in the 1920s, this slice of nostalgia is based on the childhood memoirs of Denis Forman, a director of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, though it rather recalls the fanciful tone of a P G Wodehouse novel. Colin Firth plays a dabbler in whimsical inventions, whose 10-year-old son finally experiences a taste of the adult world that lies outside the family cocoon.

“A solid entertainment that runs the gamut from outright hilarity to melodrama.” ~James Berardinelli, ReelViews
