Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1
Kevin Costner returns to direct and star in a multi-faceted chronicle, spanning 15 years of pre-and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West.
Experienced through the eyes of many, the epic journey is fraught with peril and intrigue and explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won—and lost—through blood, sweat and tears. A story of America too big for one film, this true cinematic event has an impressive ensemble cast.
“The film is earnest yet hopeful, with crisply drawn characters - but perhaps its full grandeur won’t be fully realised until part two.”
“Almost three hours of gorgeous scene setting, the grand serenity of Monument Valley in Utah regularly shaken up by violent human drama over the future of the frontier.” ~Dan Slevin, Funerals & Snakes
