Florence Foster Jenkins
Meryl Streep shines in this biopic of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress who dreamed of becoming an opera singer, despite having a terrible singing voice. The reliable Stephen Frears directs.
“Even when her notes are intolerably sour, Jenkins’s story is never less than touchingly bittersweet.” ~Ann Hornaday, Washington Post
