Delicatessen
Unforgettably clever and stylish dark comedy from French directors Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro (CITY OF LOST CHILDREN) set in a vegetarianist, post-apocalyptic future.
The landlord of a run down apartment is butchering the tradespeople he hires and selling them for food, a lucrative hustle that is threatened when his daughter falls in love with one of them. A visually splendid film, rich in bleak political symbolism and deeply romantic.
