Blood Feast

1h 7m Horror, Splatter, Cult 1963

AroView: Blame this one! The pioneer of the splatter film, the first to graphically depict human entrails etc., that comes replete with bad acting and a ludicrous plot about a psychopathic food caterer who add the body parts of women to his his meals and sacrificial rituals on the side.

Director Herschell Gordon Lewis and his pals shrewdly turned a serious profit by exploiting a drive-in market hungry for sensation where there were legal limits to depictions of onscreen sex, and he certainly gave them their money’s worth.
