Black Bear
AroView: A Sundance-anointed American indie, set around three creative types in a remote cabin before a wild animal emerges and, ahem, bears its claws and teeth.
The carnage, however, is that of the artist-muse relationship, with the intensely magnetic Aubrey Plaza perhaps inhabiting both as a writer’s blocked actress-turned-filmmaker. The film’s bold plot turn is best kept secret but is the stuff of furious post-viewing debate, and which viewers will enjoy judging for themselves.
