AroView: Proffering a seldom-seen, distinctly un-beautiful view of the city of Barcelona, a dishevelled Javier Bardem ambles its streets as low-rent dealer and struggling father-of-two in search of redemption before he dies from cancer.
Another searing socio-political tragedy from dir. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (BABEL), this wears its conscience on its sleeve and aches from every frame, but Bardem is an actor whose serious stature is enough to carry the weight which is steeped in a globalised economic despair.
