Aznavour by Charles
AroView: A gorgeously intimate portrait of the French-Armenian singer, songwriter and actor, Charles Aznavour, composited from over thirty years of personal ‘diary’ footage shot on a camera gifted to him by Edith Piaf in 1948.
Made in collaboration with the man himself before his passing in 2018, it also includes dramatized sequences with Romain Duris as Aznavour.
“Paints a picture not just of Aznavour himself, but of the world as seen through Aznavour’s eyes: the steep streets of Montmartre where he lived as a young man, the busy streets of New York on his first visit, the lights of a Japanese TV studio…” ~Sydney Morning Herald
