A Walk Among the Tombstones
AroView: Latter-day action man Liam Neeson plays a world-weary unlicensed private detective who operates just outside the law to track down the monsters responsible for a mob kidnapping and murder, stopping just short of becoming one himself.
A tough-minded thriller steeped in old-school solemnity based on one of a series of “Matt Scudder” novels by Lawrence Block.
“It’s weighty, solid and sharp - an effective matching of director and star in what is hopefully the first of a new film series.” ~Empire
