Un Air de Famille

Comedy, Drama 1h 50m 1996

Synopsis: An upper middle-class French family celebrates a birthday in a restaurant. Across one evening and during one meal, family history, tensions, collective and separate grudges, delights, and memories both clash and coalesce.

Replete with social observations both subtle and dramatic, this film is based on a French play written by two of the principal actors, Jean-Pierre Bacri and Agnès Jaoui, which explains its theatrical tone.
