AroView: A 16-year-old girl must compete in a televised tournament in which 24 teenagers from a post-apocalyptic society fight to the death for the entertainment of the masses.
This blockbusting big screen rendering of Suzanne Collins’s best-selling young adult novels is aimed at the same market that flocked to the TWILIGHT films, but is superior in almost every way, and features a breakout performance from the talented Jennifer Lawrence (WINTER’S BONE).
“A muscular, honorable, unflinching translation of Collins’ vision. It’s brutal where it needs to be, particularly when children fight and bleed.” ~Lisa Schwarzbaum, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
