The Cannonball Run

AroView: Packed with an absurd combination of stars, this 3000-mile trans-American car race yarn in which everyone has their own crazy ideas of how to beat the field.

Largely a vehicle for Burt Reynolds wisecracks and some stupidly anarchic set pieces, this was spurned by critics on its release but now seems to carry its idiotic 80s charm like a disrespectful cousin of THE BLUES BROTHERS. Inspired by true events!
