Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired
AroView: Comprehensive documentary examining the public scandal that led to the controversial departure of director Roman Polanski from the United States.
Primarily concerned with Polanski’s indictment for statutory rape in 1977, this brings light to the corrupted process and media circus in an attempt to explain (and excuse?) Polanski’s self-exile. Through unprecedented interviews with the defense attorney, prosecutor and the young girl herself (now a well-spoken adult) this does a commendable job in breaking down some of Polanski’s enigma, while never trying to justify the crime itself.
