Riders of Justice

AroView: Mads Mikkelsen leads this supremely entertaining Danish revenge thriller that cleverly delivers genre spills, big laughs and complex emotions.

In this fifth collaboration with writer-director Anders Thomas Jensen (The Green Butchers, Adam’s Apples), Mikkelsen plays a deployed military man who returns to his teenage daughter after his wife dies in a tragic train accident. But what seems to be bad luck reveals itself to be collateral damage of a carefully orchestrated assassination… Far from being a one-man show though, Mads’ unsmiling tough guy is counter-pointed by a rag-tag team who are as idiosyncratic as they are inspired.
