AroView: Laura Dern plays the eponymous nymphet, a free-spirited nanny whose promiscuous ways elicit more than a few raised eyebrows in Depression-era Georgia.

The film also stars Robert Duvall, Lukas Haas, John Heard and Diane Ladd (Dern’s real-life mother) in supporting roles. Directed by Martha Coolidge and written by Calder Willingham (adapted from his own 1972 novel of the same name).
