My Week with Marilyn
AroView: Michelle Williams evokes Hollywood’s most famous screen siren in this stylish and satisfying biopic centred on the 1956 production of THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL, with Kenneth Branagh in his element as her mismatched leading man, Laurence Olivier.
Eddie Redmayne plays a naive production assistant upon whose diary the script is based, released 40 years after the events.
“It took a toll on Marilyn Monroe to look effortlessly buoyant on camera. Michelle Williams lets us see why. It’s a great, soulful performance. Sit back and behold.” ~ROLLING STONE
