AroView: The directors of HOWL turn their attention to the tragi-drama of one-time pornstar Linda Lovelace, whose unexpected stardom for her role in the infamous XXX hit DEEP THROAT was matched only by the abuse she received at the hands of men who exploited her fame.

In spite of the self-conscious cameos (James Franco as Hugh Hefner, anyone?) and cheesy period detail, Amanda Seyfried as the titular Lovelace comes out on top with a sympathetic performance.
