AroView: Broad English farce, based around Joe Orton’s stageplay, in which bank-robbers hide their loot in a coffin under the body. As slapstick comedy ensues, an amoral policeman becomes a menacing adversary. Though this defuses much of Orton’s sexual innuendo, it’s generally effective and filled with quaint ‘Mod’ stylings.
