AroView: Mark Rylance and Kerry Fox bare their flesh as well as their souls as a separated father-of-two and a married mother who meet weekly for torrid, anonymous sex in a drab London flat.
Controversially explicit as to merit some kind of landmark, the sex is less erotic than an index of their alienation and desperation. From a series of short-stories of mid-life angst by Hanif Kureishi, his difficult characters make it typically hard to penetrate, but the treatment is certain to provoke thought and lively debate.
