Adapted from possibly the most popular of JK Rowling’s books, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) must fend off the demons of the past in a defensive hunt for the recently escaped evildoer Sirius Black (Gary Oldman), who was involved in the murders of Harry’s parents. Atmospheric and fluid, this sheds the unwieldiness of the first films, though is still spectacularly magical with a greater emotional range and meaning.
