Forrest Gump
AroView: Tom Hanks stars in the eponymous (and since iconic) role of an Alabama man with an IQ of 75 in this Oscar-winning box-office smash.
Highly effective as a nutshell of 25 years of American political and cultural history (with rock soundtrack to boot), as a special-effects wonder and ultimately, as a touching story about innocence in a corrupt world.
