Footloose

Musical, Drama 1h 47m 1984

Rock’n’roll city kid Kevin Bacon fights for his right to party in the face of small town conservatism in this infectious, under-rated musical drama.

When he finds out dancing has been banned in an uptight Midwestern town, he revolts with his best friend (Chris Penn) and the minister’s daughter (Lori Singer). Features all the bangers: Kenny Loggins “Footloose,” Shalamar “Dancing In The Sheets,” Deniece Williams “Let’s Hear It For The Boy,” Bonnie Tyler “Holding Out for A Hero,” and the Footloose love theme, “Almost Paradise.”

“Charming and gritty enough to rate as one of the best teen artifacts from the glossy 1980’s.” ~ AroVideo.
