Exit 8
EXIT 8 is a labyrinthine horror film that blends the best elements of “Squid Game” and “Alice In Borderland” into an intense and claustrophobic game of escaping a nightmare.
A young man suddenly finds himself trapped in an endless underground metro tunnel. He has one mission: Find Exit 8 to get out. The rules are simple: You must not overlook anything that stands out. If you discover an anomaly, you must turn back immediately. If not, continue. And leave the underground through Exit 8. The plan is clear, but if he misses even a single detail, it sends him back to the start. Will he ever reach his goal and escape the endless passage? The film is based on the popular video game of the same name and can be described as “Groundhog Day” with a terrifying twist.
“A devilishly entertaining time at the movies… Exit 8 is a cinematic captcha, tasking us with finding the difference between one image and the next to prove our humanity.” ~Blake Simons, IndieWire
“As the film nears its conclusion, “Exit 8” becomes as emotionally enriching to feel through as it is enigmatically engrossing to play through…” ~Marshall Shaffer, The Playlist
“Exit 8 shows video game adaptations can still have a sense of originality, both narratively and technically.” ~Giovanni Lago, Next Best Picture
