Dune
A Duke’s son leads desert warriors against the galactic emperor and his father’s evil nemesis when they assassinate his father and free their desert world from the emperor’s rule.
AroView: David Lynch’s ambitious but famously muddled adaptation of Frank Herbert’s cult novel recouped less than half its $25 million cost, but endures for spotters of Lynch-isms, including Kyle Maclachlan (Twin Peaks) in the leading role, not to mention a blond Sting having more fun.
