Day Of The Dead
AroView: Cited by director George Romero as a personal favourite of his immortal ‘dead’ films, this is a memorable conclusion to the iconic trilogy that takes a different approach to its ground-breaking forerunner, “Dawn of the Dead”, picking up after the flesh-eating undead have wiped out most of the civilised world. Both credibly serious and absurdly funny, thanks especially to an adorable zombie creation known as ‘Bub’.
Hidden deep within a fortified underground missile silo, an isolated and increasingly unstable ragtag group of scientists and soldiers continue to work to find a cure for this unstoppable plague. Tensions soon escalate between a maniacal military leader and a borderline mad scientist, which sparks a climactic assault on the bunker by thousands of zombies and one final battle for humanity’s survival.
