Big Eyes
AroView: Director Tim Burton refreshingly breaks with fantasy for this resplendent biopic of painter Margaret Keane, whose prolific and popular work was bizarrely credited to her husband in the shamelessly patriarchal 1950s and 60s. A light entertainment but ripely gender-political, with Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz both exceedingly watchable.
