Angel Heart
AroView: Things get increasingly bizarre for Mickey Rourke as a private detective on the trail of a mysterious jazz singer in this voodoo-spiked neo-noir classic from director Alan Parker (Pink Floyd’s The Wall).
Clues lead him to New Orleans where he learns that the iconic singer had been dabbling in the black arts. A genuinely creepy, lovingly crafted American gothic tale with a spellbinding finale, this is Rourke’s finest hour that also features a memorably risqué turn from Lisa Bonet and a sinister one from Robert De Niro.
