Wonder Woman
AroView: Israeli actress Gal Gadot dazzles as the charismatic warrior princess who must leave her mythical island paradise and sail into WWI-embattled Europe to confront the “God of War”. The film looks spectacular and includes some memorable battles, though the script is typically bloated and ultimately peddles a murky message about man’s capacity for violence.
While marking the highest box office gross of any female directed film, it became the target of the “men’s rights” brigade, inciting an online culture war that has since undermined any real criticism of the film itself.
