The September Issue
AroView: An unprecedented peek into the world of Anna Wintour, legendary editor-in-chief of fashion magazine “Vogue”, as she and her team put together the most substantial monthly issue of the year.
With a fierce reputation for being a cold fish who “knows what she wants”, the English-born Wintour was the inspiration for Meryl Streep’s character in THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. While the film only manages to skim her surface, more is tellingly revealed in her fractious yet valuable relationship with her creative director, Grace Coddington, a former ‘Vogue’ model who, now in her sixties, provides much of the film’s dramatic impetus and heart. Others mingling in Anna’s circle here are such designers as Oscar De la Renta, Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galliano and Vera Wang, so for fashion darlings, this is surely a must for the viewing calendar.
