The Informer

AroView: Crime thriller with Swedish actor Joel Kinnaman playing a former Special Ops soldier who is jailed defending his wife in an attack, then takes a job as an informant for the FBI in order to get an early prison release. Using his covert skills to take down the biggest crime boss in New York doesn’t go to plan however, and he finds himself back in prison, caught in the crossfire between the mob, the FBI and the NYPD, and with his family on the line. A big brawny genre vehicle with a few recycled themes to overlook.
