The End Of The Affair (1955)
AroView: Original screen adaptation of Graham Greene’s tale of unrequited wartime love, with Deborah Kerr and Van Johnson entangled in a brief but illicit affair in England during the Second World War. While not as pungent in its melodrama, its religious murmurings are more faithful to the novel than Neil Jordan’s lustier version.
