The Cat Rescuers
Feral and abandoned cats prowl the streets of New York City in the tens of thousands. Because the city can’t handle this problem, hundreds of dedicated, volunteer rescuers have come to their aid. This documentary focuses on four of these rescuers in the borough of Brooklyn, where they go to heroic lengths to express their empathy for these animals. Compliments the 2016 documentary KEDI by focusing more on the humans stories than the feline perspectives.
A revealing introduction to an increasingly hard-to-ignore animals rights issue.
“While the production package is merely workman-like, the commitment, honesty and heart of the main interviewees makes the material compelling.” ~ Alissa Simon, Variety.
