Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked The World

1h 43m Documentary, Music 2017

AroView: A fascinating and rousing documentary profiling the impact of American Indian musicians on the development of rock music. Musicians featured include Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Jesse Ed Davis, Stevie Salas, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Randy Castillo, Jimi Hendrix and Taboo. The film is named after the famous Link Wray instrumental, one of the first pieces of music to incorporate feedback and distortion.

“The miracle of this film is that it’s joyous and celebratory without whitewashing the cruelty that suppressed and inadvertently inspired Native American music” ~CHUCK BOWAN, SLANT MAGAZINE
