Synopsis: Realising a dishonest deal has been found out, a diamond merchant commits suicide, leaving the gems in question for his wife. Knowing the business from a time before drink largely took over her life, Marianne decides to sober up and sell them herself. Though they attract much interest, the lure of the stones means that she may have to confront her past as well.
