Night Train to Lisbon
AroView: Acclaimed Danish director Bille August directs Jeremy Irons on walkabout as a high school professor seeking an escape from his buttoned-down academic life, and embarking on a train journey to Lisbon after a chance meeting with a Portuguese woman.
A slow-burning mystery of the heart framed against a beguiling European backdrop that has garnered something of a cult following in spite of initially tepid reviews. Based on Pierre Mercier’s bestselling novel.
